Brownsover Hall Hotel

Typically, hotels like ours will say something like, ‘Welcome to Brownsover Hall, a luxury hotel set in a Grade II listed building, situated in Rugby, on a 7-acre estate of beautiful parklands and gardens.’

And while that’s all true, it’s not even the half of it. So welcome to something truly extraordinary. We look forward to you discovering it for yourself.

Currently, we have 28 bedrooms, ranging from single rooms through classic doubles, king rooms, super king rooms, to suites.

Each room is individual, furnished with one-off pieces and characterful antiques that create its very own unique, indulgent vibe. If it’s escapism you’re seeking, you’ve found it, in spades.

Naturally, attention to detail goes beyond décor to function. Mirrors become TV screens, baths are free-standing, and showers are powerful. While linen comes with thread counts in the hundreds.

Please be aware that some guests may find it difficult to leave.

    Dine with us

We’re very much aligned with Oscar Wilde when he said, “I can’t stand people who do not take food seriously.”

So, whether you’re looking for a lavish breakfast, a leisurely lunch, an indulgent afternoon tea, or a decadent dining experience that will live long in your memory, you’ll find the warmest of welcomes from kindred souls.

Housed in what used to be the chapel is Scott’s, a place foodies come to worship (see what we did there?).

Open all day for breakfast, lunch and dinner, we have created menus that feature the freshest, seasonal ingredients including from our very own Beech Hill Farm.

There are only two rules in Scotts, have fun, enjoy yourself and make
your meal one to remember. And
the second, save room for dessert, they’re all exceptional.

Our tearoom and lounge, which serves brunch and, possibly, the best afternoon tea in the region, is the perfect place to catch up on the latest gossip over light snacks and dainty sweet indulgences. If it’s cold outside, we recommend grabbing one of the seats nearest the open fire.

Take a moment to discover the specially commissioned wallpaper that depicts the history of Brownsover and those who have lived here.

Later in the evening, it slides into more of a bar vibe, as perfectly made cocktails and fine spirits do their magic.

We could make some reference to some jet-fuelled drinking here, in honour of the bar’s name, but no, we’re classier than that.

As is the room itself, which has been a bar room since Brownsover Hall was built, so it’s seen some memorable nights over its many years. And may that tradition continue for many more years to come.

As for the wallpaper that adorns the walls, it’s a Watts1874 original. Who, as any wallpaper connoisseur should know, is a renowned wallpaper manufacturer that just happens to be owned by the great-grandchild of Gilbert George, Brownsover’s architect.

As you’ll discover in a place like this, family is important.
